The index will continue to evolve with the addition of new formats and data sources to encompass not only books and articles but also theses and dissertations, curriculum, government documents, online courses, images, audio, and video. While the index is currently comprised of scholarly resources, additional resources such as newspapers, trade journals, and popular magazines are currently being added. Even local collections of digital resources—such as institutional repositories and local digital assets—may be added using our consulting services team.
Though SirsiDynix is focused on building a comprehensive index of electronic resources with an emphasis on open access, we understand that each library has unique collection development needs. That’s why the CloudSource+ administration functionality empowers library staff to manage what content is available for discovery.
